Highlander is a Science Fiction Fan Club and a chapter in STARFLEET: the International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. We are located in Frederick, Maryland USA. We have members from all around the state and around the world. We hold regular meetings once a month in Frederick, Maryland. We also use internet chat and Email to keep in touch. We get together for science fiction and Star Trek conventions, movies, charity fundraisers, video nights, holiday parties, etc.
Our members are people who share common interest, such as: Star Trek, charity work, costuming, Science Fiction & fantasy literature, science, writing fan fiction, computer graphics, movies, convention organizing, and role playing games.
Joining the Highlander is a good way to find new friends who share common interests and who like to have fun while helping others.
As a member of our club, you can become as involved as you want to be. Whether you just want to receive our newsletter and Emails about science fiction and Star Trek news, or you want to become involved in charity work, or earn fictional rank through STARFLEET, that's entirely up to you.
Many of our members are also members of other fan organizations, including: the Star Trek Association of Towson (STAT), STARFLEET: the International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc., SG-Command, the Lunarians, Battlestar Pegasus, the Babylon 5 fan club, and others.
